Introducing… Daisy Lane! I can’t even express how excited I am to show you my newest quilt pattern. This one came as inspiration for a quilt contest (more on that in another post, at a later time ;)) and I just kept going, and going, and going until I knew it needed to be shared with everyone!
This is my first quilt pattern that uses an on-point block, and it makes a simple block seem even fancier.
I mean, adorable, right? Kelli of Simply MackBeth did the quilting and the understated loops (in a gray thread, so lovely) really makes this quilt practically perfect in every way!
I made the baby version for my cover quilt, mostly because I am a symmetry-loving gal, but also because I only had a limited amount of this luxurious cotton/rayon background fabric. It was kind of difficult to work with simply because it was so slippery soft, but now I have the softest, lightest quilt top!
Some more info on the quilt: I classified this quilt as “Intermediate” because it deals with some bias edges, and has on-point construction. This doesn’t mean beginners can’t try it- the pattern has detailed illustrations and instructions to help on every step along the way! The quilt comes in Baby, Throw, and Twin sizes for now.
This quilt washed up sooooo soft, with that buttery background fabric. Definitely the best decision for this baby size quilt!
Grab this quilt pattern in my shop. It comes in baby, throw, and twin sizes!
Very nice pattern – should do well!
This quilt is seriously adorable! You are going to make a quilter out of me yet, because imagining a pair of these spread on my daughters’ beds is strongly tempting me to just go for it…
