Introducing the Ensemble quilt pattern!
Not long ago, I challenged myself to make a beginner pattern using a precut. I ended up using two 5″ stackers and came up with this fun, simple block quilt!
One of the reasons I love block-based quilts is that I get to chain piece everything. Let me tell you, chain piecing is the best thing ever! This quilt came together quickly, and good thing too because we got news of our new job and decided to sell our house- this was the last quilt I packed and in one of our very last boxes!
This quilt kind of got a tearful photoshoot, since we were about to leave our lovely desert. We had a good time tromping through the brush and baby cactus to get some nice pics.
This was also a comfort quilt during our transition- we were out of our house and in limbo and then we found out our trip was delayed so we were feeling ALLLL the feelings. I took this sad girl our and we wrapped her up for pictures- when we got back, we were all smiles.
This quilt remained nameless for a while, but during this busy time I also turned in another fabric line. The designs (which you’ll have to wait to see!) and our impending trip to France made me think about how doing things together is what makes them truly wonderful- so, Ensemble it is.
