These last two blocks (Les Fleurs, I’ve unoriginally dubbed them) I’ll be sharing don’t use panel pieces- they are strictly filler blocks. I designed them to directly coordinate with the fabric line, however, so they definitely need their own quick posts! This is another block that would look really neat repeated in its own quilt.
This Rosettes block consists of two 8″ x 8″ (finished) roses, and then a simple 4-patch to fill the empty space. I actually went through several versions of this, but for time purposes, settled on the 4-patch so I didn’t have to spend as much time piecing 😉 Sometimes I need a quick moment within a tedious project!
That being said, any 8″ finished block can replace the 4-patch (my original concept included my Prairie Waltz mini blocks in the corners!) if it’s too simple for your personal taste. Grab instructions for the block I’ve made below:
