Sometimes the tedium of piecing a large quilt just doesn’t appeal to me. Don’t get me wrong- I really love taking small pieces and watching as they all work together and grow into something really fantastic- that’s a given. I just need a quick project every now and again! That’s why I love mini quilts.
My newest mini quilt is from Kelli of Simply Mackbeth’s first quilt pattern!! I was at her house while my Garden Grow quilt was being quilted, and she showed me a quilt she had made with these fun 3D diamonds, and we decided then and there it needed to be a pattern for everyone to use! I love how this pattern uses pre-cut mini charm squares, I never knew quite what to do with those little baby squares, but this is the perfect solution! The baby size in the pattern uses a standard 5″ charm.
I was hunting around for the perfect mini-charms, but the second I saw the packs of Vintage Modern by Bonnie and Camille… Sold. I walked straight to the checkout! Of course, my favorite feature is how the centers of each block pop out from the quilt! And since my quilting echoed the centers, they pop even more. I can’t help but get a smile on my face each time I look at this cute mini quilt!
You can snag Kelli’s new release in her Etsy shop as an instant PDF download.
That is so cute! I love the dimensional centers, and that fabric line is one of my favorites!
i love this…and again, can’t thank you enough!!!!
