This year has been a strange one, no doubt! I’ve always been a homebody, but this year has caused me to really appreciate my home and the people in it. I set about designing a quilt pattern that would feature some flying geese blocks to remember this time, and in the end, settled on a very simple design- life is too complicated, let’s be happy with a bit of ease!
I ended up naming this pattern Take Me Home, an homage to this home-bound experience we are all enduring! It really has tested by homebody-ness, but it’s official… I still like being at home.
I suppose if you are in a different frame of mind, you can call it the Take Me {away from} Home quilt 😉
The pattern is fat-quarter friendly, and is a really quick sew!
I’ll be sharing another version of this quilt tomorrow too, but this throw size is made using My Heritage fabrics by My Mind’s Eye for Riley Blake Designs. I believe it might still be available in stores, and also features a panel! I love the family history theme of the fabric, perfect for Take Me Home. We love talking about our ancestors in our home!
I quilted it in a stipple design, which I believe makes the best crinkly quilts!
The Take Me Home quilt pattern is available as a downloadable PDF in my shop.
I’d love the take me home pattern. The link won’t work for me!
We are working on transferring all patterns to different links for my wholesale manager to take over, it should be all done by the end of the month (January). Sorry for the inconvenience!
does this come in a larger size than just the throw- maybe full/queen?
thanks!!
